The World Community of Sanatana Dharma is an international association of people who follow the path of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) and practice Laya Yoga under the spiritual guidance of the enlightened Master of practical Advaita — Swami Vishnudevananda Giri. The community brings together followers from many cities in Russia, as well as from countries near and far abroad, creating a unified space for spiritual growth and self-knowledge.

Our Mission and Goals
The main goal of the community is to recreate and maintain the sacred Divine reality in the surrounding world. This is achieved through collective co-creation and joint spiritual practice aimed at universal spiritualization and enlightenment. The community is regarded as the “body of Dharma,” an instrument for creating a new spiritual and cultural reality based on Vedic principles.

The Spiritual Path: Advaita and Laya Yoga
The core of the teaching followed by the community is Advaita Vedanta—the doctrine of the non-duality of the world. The main tenets of Advaita state that the entire world is a manifestation of mind, and that creative consciousness is inseparable from the created world, like a dreamer and his dream. The practical method for realizing this truth is Laya Yoga—the path of dissolving individual consciousness into the Absolute.
Cultural Values
The community carefully preserves and passes on to future generations the Vedic culture, which is deeply imbued with the spirit of purity, reverence, and respect. These principles extend to all aspects of life: veneration of the gods, holy sages, spiritual teachers, parents, as well as nature and all living beings. The greeting “namaste,” meaning “I honor the divine in you,” is a vivid expression of this culture. Such an atmosphere promotes spiritual growth, purification of the heart and mind, and the awakening of the soul’s inner light.

Our Teacher
The spiritual leader and inspirer of the community is Swami Vishnudevananda Giri, an enlightened Master who transmits profound knowledge and methods of practical Advaita to his disciples. Under his guidance, followers study sacred scriptures, engage in spiritual practices, and take part in joint retreats, seminars, and pilgrimages to the holy places of India, Nepal, Tibet, and other countries.
