With the blessing of the Guru, we invite you to take part in the literary competition "Path to Refuge" – 2026.
Each of us has our own story that led to Refuge and transformations, and there is a place for every one of them. Perhaps for someone, it is your story that will become the step that leads to the threshold of our common spiritual home, and therefore – write a story!
We look forward to your works in five categories:
1. Spiritual Fiction — real stories, parables, confessions of the heart.
2. Spiritual Sci-Fi — where technology, space, and the future become the backdrop for the search for truth.
3. Spiritual Fantasy — worlds, magic, quests, and battles leading to one thing — the Refuge within.
4. Spiritual Research — deep analysis of texts and teachings on Refuge and yoga.
5. Spiritual Poetry — where the word becomes a prayer, and the rhyme leads to silence.
Format: Works can be of any size, from a short story to a large book.
Deadlines: Works are accepted from February 1 to April 15.
Jury review: from March 1 to May 15.
Award ceremony: will take place at the VSMS in July.
All details, rules, and the submission form are available on the competition page
This competition is not only and not so much for self-expression as it is a creative form of seva, for the benefit of spreading Dharma.
