The primary task of Dharma is to reveal the inner light so that, by becoming a beacon of wisdom, compassion, and love, one can radiate them, dispelling suffering. Our missionaries, by spreading Dharma, bring the light of sattva—peace, goodness, and joy—into the world. For this activity, external support is vital so that others can come into contact with the light through online sermons, field programs, and participation in spiritual festivals.
By supporting missionaries, you participate in the dissemination of wisdom throughout the world. This blessed service will attract the energy of awakening, love, and grace into your life, contributing to the unfolding of your deep spiritual potential.
“The task of Dharma, our task, the task of every sadhu is to kindle one's own inner light and become a guiding beacon for others, to become a light of wisdom, a lamp of the Spirit, to point out this path to all people and to the world—the path of exiting toward light, wisdom, and love, so that the balance of Universal harmony is restored once again.”
Sadhguru Swami Vishnudevananda Giri, The Code of the Master
The main Dharma (duty) of monks is teaching Knowledge and spreading Dharma. And while teaching is what happens within the community, missionary work (spreading Dharma) is a kind of “expansion” that always requires new strength and investment. Missionaries are messengers of the spirit, those who go “in the vanguard” of the community, helping it expand for the benefit of all living beings.
“By preaching Dharma, we can make the world better, more tolerant, more educated, more beautiful, and more enlightened. This is so clear that there is no sense in talking much about it. Dharma is sattva. And sattva is, by default, peace, harmony, joy, beauty, prosperity, wisdom, happiness, and longevity.”
Sadhguru Swami Vishnudevananda Giri, The Code of the Master
But without material shakti in the modern world, unfortunately, such expansion is not possible. Therefore, it is very important to support those who carry the light of Knowledge into the world.
What missionaries need funds for:
- Online preaching (lectures, short videos, social networks). To record high-quality material, professional equipment is needed, and for the monks' lectures and sermons to find their audience in the infinite space of the internet, professional promotion is required.
- Field programs (to new countries and cities). For numerous expenses related to trips, including travel, accommodation and meals, hall rentals, advertising, etc. Besides conducting specialized programs of our tradition directly (open classes, seminars, and retreats), another wonderful opportunity to spread the teaching is participating in various festivals. However, participation in most of them requires monetary donations.
By helping missionaries turn the wheel of Dharma (spread the light of Knowledge), you attract Anugraha-shakti—the enlightening energy of awakening, grace, and love—into your life...
