The Aryans Are Our Ancestors
Our ancestors were not cattle-breeders or shepherds,
Our ancestors were not plowmen or potters,
Our ancestors were not hunters of forest beasts
And were not gatherers of herbs.
Our ancestors were gods and flew through the sky,
Among the stars and constellations on vimanas,
Faster than light, at the speed of thought.
Our ancestors feared neither thunder nor lightning.
(What demon came up with this foolish joke?!)
They were not frightened by the elements and, of course,
They were not monkeys.
(How could they humiliate our spirit so for centuries!)
Our ancestors were immortal gods,
They folded time and space
As easily as skin,
And they could light a star like a torch.
Our ancestors did not live in caves, huts,
Or wooden houses.
They lived in flying cities
And heavenly chambers that shone,
Gleaming with their glory and might.
By their will, they created millions of universes,
They decided the fates of civilizations,
Being themselves the creators of civilizations.
So great were the Gods—our ancient ancestors,
Let us be worthy of them,
Worthy,
Worthy!
