We are followers of the philosophy of Advaita, walking the path of direct nondual realization of Reality, where Atman and Brahman are one, and Liberation is possible here and now. Our tradition is rooted in the Advaita Vedanta lineage of Adi Shankaracharya, in the transmission of the Juna Akhara order, and unfolds as a living, practical Dharma.
We do not limit ourselves merely to philosophical reflection. Our path is a holistic sadhana, including yoga, tantra, and anuttara tantra as methods of deep transformation of consciousness, energy, and being. These practices do not exist separately, but are united in a single stream of nondual contemplation, where the body, energy, and mind become instruments of Liberation.
The World Community of Sanatana Dharma unites monks (sannyasis) and lay practitioners who practice under the spiritual guidance of the enlightened master of practical Advaita — Swami Vishnudevananda Giri. The mission of spreading the Dharma, begun by him in 1995, gradually took shape as a living international sangha.
As the sangha grew and matured, monastic ashrams began to be established in Italy, India, Nepal, Russia, Ukraine, as well as Dharma centers around the world.
At present, students from more than twenty countries practice in the Community. A comprehensive system of offline and online training has been built, allowing one to follow the Path regardless of place of residence.
As stated in the Guru’s teachings, a human being is not a final form, but a transitional state, carrying within itself the potential for Liberation, Enlightenment, and divine blossoming.
We are “sleeping gods,” temporarily having forgotten our true nature
We unite those who:
- have realized the limitations of samsaric existence,
- feel an inner call to Truth,
- seek not consolation, but real transformation of consciousness,
- are ready to walk the path of discipline, faith, contemplation, and service.
Our community is a sangha, a union of practitioners following the Path of Liberation each at their own level: in lay life or in monastic life, yet united by a single Ground, Path, and Fruit.
Where we are going: The Path
We do not lead to abstract philosophy or comforting beliefs. We lead to the practical experience of Truth.
The Path transmitted in the Community is a path of inner alchemy, where a person, step by step:
- purifies the mind and vision,
- unties karmic knots,
- awakens energy and awareness,
- unites their individual will with the Divine Will.
This path rests on three pillars:
- Ground — right view and faith,
- Path — contemplation, sadhana, ethics, vows, and service,
- Fruit — real transformation of being.
We do not promise easy solutions. We offer a holistic spiritual discipline, tested by centuries of the siddha tradition.
Where we are going: The Fruit
The ultimate goal is not simply psychological peace or temporary enlightenment. We lead to Liberation (mukti) and beyond — to becoming a God-Human (divya-manushya).
The initial fruits become noticeable already at the beginning of the path: anger fades away, chaotic desires are pacified, the body gains lightness, and an unshakable center of peace appears in the soul, based on the awareness of “I Am.”
The Highest Fruit of the Teaching is revealed as:
- freedom from karma and samsara,
- the awakening of continuous awareness,
- the realization of the three enlightened bodies:
- the body of Wisdom (jnana-deha),
- the illusory divine body (pranava-deha),
- the perfect body of manifestation (siddha-deha).
This is the path of going beyond limited human nature and entering the dimension of freedom, creativity, and compassion.
For Whom This Path Is Intended
This Path is not for everyone — and there is no exclusivity in this, only honesty.
It is for those who:
- are ready to take responsibility for their destiny,
- are not satisfied with superficial answers,
- feel that life is given not for consumption, but for awakening,
- strives for Truth more than for comfort.
What We Stand On: The Foundation
The foundation is the Symbol of Faith, which in our tradition is not a dogma or an ideology.
It is a consciously accepted picture of reality, a spiritual compass, a formalized expression of mature faith.
The Symbol of Faith affirms:
- the non-dual Reality of Parabrahman
- the manifestation of the Absolute as consciousness, energy, and form
- the reality of karma, reincarnation, and the preciousness of human birth
- the possibility of Liberation already in this life
- a pure vision of the world as the play of divine energies
Accepting the Symbol of Faith is not a “conversion” or a formal step, but a turning point of destiny, the moment when a scattered search becomes a clear Path.
Conclusion
Who are we? We are a community of those seeking Liberation, walking the path of Sanatana Dharma and Advaita Vedanta in the tradition of the siddhas.
Where do we lead? To awakening, Liberation, and the unfolding of the divine potential of the human being — here and now.
