The introductory study program comprises the first two courses. During this period, you study with “guest” status. You do not need to enter the tradition or become a disciple of the Guru; you only need to accept the general Sanatana Dharma Creed as an agreement that you undertake to treat the philosophy and culture of Hinduism, the lecturers, teachers, instructors, and all the knowledge you receive with respect. This principle is called “Pancha Shraddha” — the Fivefold Faith.
The Sanatana Dharma Creed is suitable for you if you:
- want to familiarize yourself with the learning process and the tradition before making your choice;
- belong to another tradition but would like to convert to the Hindu tradition.

Why is it not possible to continue studying without entering the tradition?
Further study includes initiations and transmissions into profound methods of practice that can be passed on only to those who have established a spiritual connection with the objects of Refuge: the Guru, monks and disciples, the lineage of transmission, deities, and saints. This entails observing a specific spiritual culture and ethics, having faith, and being willing to cultivate the qualities required for deeper practice.
